Privacy Trees →

Homeowners love evergreens for privacy! It should be noted though that they are not the only option. Our customers turn to evergreens for their year-round foliage. Arborvitae and Juniper are great options to think about for your backyard pool oasis; these trees will add not only privacy and screening but also the beauty of soft foliage, color, and texture.

Pictured above is Emerald Green Arborvitae. This particular variety of arborvitae will only get about 3-4 Ft Wide and 12-14 Ft Tall at maturity.

Ornamental & Flowering Trees →

If you want to go with a flowering tree consider planting a tree that will bloom earlier in the springtime, such as Redbud, Magnolia, or Serviceberry this will help you to avoid the worry of bees near the pool during the summertime. The trees listed below are also commonly used for screening, to create a visual block.

If you look closely at the picture below, you'll notice that one of these trees is doing its job! It's offering screening and privacy for the pool behind it. These shrub-like trees were planted on the outside of the fence. Autumn Brilliance Serviceberry is a beautiful 3-season accent tree and should be highly considered when selecting trees for your pool.

Shade Trees →

If you have adequate space in your landscape near your pool, consider a shade tree! These trees are selected for their unique ornamental features but also their tolerance to frequently saturated areas. We would recommend planting at least 10-15 Ft away from your pool to allow room for your trees to grow & mature and for some tree debris to fall.
